What is Industry Makeup Academy?
Industry Makeup Academy is a Pro Makeup Studio based out of Atlanta, GA. Our focus is to empower makeup artists to pursue their passions through education, community, and mentorship. Over the past 10 years, more than 400 makeup artists have graduated from our courses in Atlanta. Now, we would like to bring that same experience outside of our studio to wherever you are!
What can I do with a Makeup Artist Certificate?
Having a certificate in Makeup Artistry shows people that have the necessary skills and tools to apply makeup at a professional level. With this certificate you will attract clients seeking professional services, employers who are impressed with your skills and experience, and gain access to industry events, memberships, education opportunities, discounts and more!
When can I start?
Immediately! If you paid in full, you will receive both Level 1 and Level 2 as soon as your payment processes.
If you used the payment plan, you will have access to Level 1 immediately. Level 2 will be available after 30 days during which you'll need to make your second payment.
What comes in the Makeup Kit?
If you chose to purchase the Graftobian ProClass HD Makeup Kit with your course, it comes with everything you need for your professional kit to create full-face makeup looks. It's valued at $575, but we're offering it to our students for a special rate. Click here to see the full list of everything included in the kit. If you're interested in purchasing the kit, you can do so directly from the IMA Website at a discounted price.
When will I receive my Makeup Kit?
If you purchased the Pro Makeup Kit with your course, please allow approximately 7-10 business days from your enrollment for it to arrive to your shipping address. There may be some delays due to Covid-19. If you would like an update on shipping/tracking, please email us directly at [email protected]
Can I use my own makeup kit?
Of course! We always give students the option to use their own kits, even in our in-person classes. Please keep in mind that our recommended kit has everything you will need to complete the course.
How long does it take to finish?
Traditionally, this course material takes at least 32 hours to work through. But please feel free to pace yourself as you like!
When and how will I receive my certificate?
Once you complete the course and all payments have been processed, you will receive a digital certificate and have the option to purchase a printed copy of your certificate. Your digital copy can be accessed immediately after course completion. Please allow 7-10 business days for your printed certificate to arrive. There may be some delays due to Covid-19.
What if I have a question while I'm taking the course?
Students in our Online Programs will have access to live bi-weekly coaching sessions with our instructors. During this time you will receive individual answers and feedback on your specific questions.
How long will I have access to the course?
Forever! Once you complete payment, you will always have access to the training modules in this program.
Is there a way to communicate with other IMA students?
Absolutely! When you join our online program, you also join our Private Alumni Facebook Group. It's an engaged online community of more than 300 IMA students and alumni!
When will my payment plan be scheduled?
The payment plan is divided into two monthly payments. After your first payment is made, the following payment will be processed 30 days after. Your will not have access to Level Two of the curriculum until you make your second and final payment. If you'd like to submit your payment earlier, you may and we'll grant earlier course access. Feel free to email us at [email protected] to notify us of early payment.
Example: If you started your course on the 25th of the month, you can expect your payments to be processed on or around the following 25th of the next month.
What happens if I miss a payment?
If you chose the payment plan and miss a payment on your set billing date, you will have 7 calendar days to update your payment method or you will lose access to the course.
